Moldylox was introduced to the scene in the late 90's. He started out as a water boy for Slip Disc productions and was doing it just for the money…and soon became
captivated with funky house music and uplifting trance.
After years of "raving", clubbing and experimenting with a lowend keyboard,mixer and discmen, he decided to fork over the cash to get some actual gear and ammo. Soon the hypnotic call of his vile mistress came to him…this being drum&bass…
Thanks to countless hours in his bedroom and with the help of the Break Beat Elite, Gravity Promo Group and Peace Productions, Moldylox broke into the world in 2005 with his drilling basslines and jagged drumbeats that cut with an edge that is not to be missed…
After only 3 year Moldylox has been on the same lineup as the UK's J-Bass, the Phat
Conductor, Misstress Barabara and JR Sanchez. After claiming 1st place in the East Coast
Groove Music Award for best local dnb DJ of 2007, this eager junglist soldier has become

Mark Harmsworth has been honing his dj'ing skills for over 6 years now and has accomplished much since stepping up and playing live in the last two years. A co-founder of Halifax collective 'Break Beat Elite' . Harmsworth is known for his ability to please a crowd, be it with jungle, breakbeats, hip hop or a combination of all 3.
Mark has played all over the East Coast, opening for Big League Chu, Mistress Barbera, the UK's J-Bass and Lee Coombs as well many local favorites.
With a weekly residency offering Halifax the only regular drum and bass/breaks party, as well as organizing steady BBE collective shows and the dedication and skill to win the Reflections DJ Idol, Mark Harmsworth has got to be one of the hardest working DJs in Halifax. A hero to those who love their beats broken, Harmsworth will rinse out the roughest and the toughest of riddims in style. |
